The crater of the mountain is one of the favorite spots for helicopter rides on the island. The North Shore with Princeville and Hanalei as its main tourist spots is one of the greenest parts of the island. It rains more here than in Poipu or the Coconut Coast, however, the beauty of this area makes it a favorite place to stay. The Princeville Resort has dazzling views of Hanalei Bay from most rooms and restaurants. From any beach in Hanalei the rear of the Princeville Resort appears to be built into the ocean.
